CarboStop R 102 is a fast water-reactive, one-component resin that
contains no solvents. To accelerate the reaction, CarboStop 102 ACC is
added. The reaction begins upon contact with water. Once cured, the
material forms a rigid-elastic polyurethane foam with a high percentage of
closed cells in its compacted state.

Applications

► Stopping water ingress (including saltwater) under high pressure and
high flow conditions
► Stabilization and waterproofing of fractured or deteriorated rock

► Anchoring and fixation of anchors, self-drilling anchors, and cable
anchors in water-bearing sand
► Injection during cement grouting, either simultaneously or alternately
(Carbo-Grouting method)

non-reactive fillers, for filling large voids under conditions of high
water inflow and pressure (Carbo-Grouting)

Component Description

CarboStop R 102 is a resin composed of modified isocyanates and additives.

CarboStop R 102 ACC is a catalyst blend used to adjust and control the
reaction rate.

Key Advantages

► Upon contact with water, the resin components react to form a

► The prepared reaction mixture can be stored for at least 48 hours
without a noticeable increase in viscosity, provided that exposure to
humid air is prevented.

Operating Principle

Before use, a sufficient amount of CarboStop 102 ACC is added to CarboStop
102 resin to adjust the reactivity of the injection mixture according to
site conditions. The recommended application temperature range is from
+5°C to +30°C.

CarboStop 102 / CarboStop 102 ACC is injected into water-bearing areas
through a packer (injector) as a single-component material using a manual,
electric, or pneumatic pump. Upon contact with water, the reaction mixture
expands significantly and cures into a solid foam.

Storage

Store in a dry place in the original tightly sealed packaging at
temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Shelf life is 12 months from the date
of manufacture.

Recommendations

Before use, the resin must be conditioned for at least 24 hours at a
temperature of no less than +20°C.

Localized overheating of the canister walls must be avoided.

If the area to be sealed contains insufficient water, complete curing of
the resin can be achieved through pre-injection or post-injection of
water.

Equipment

sealing packers.
